Schedule of Events for the 2013 Season - Fun, Fun, Fun at the Market!

Springtime, my favorite time of year!   Flowers bloom, birds chatter and build nests, the trees turn green, days get longer and we turn our backs on a disappointing winter (no sledding snow) -
AND The West End Farmers Market opens!

On Sunday May 6 your local farmers brought their spring fresh-picked veggies and fruits. Can’t you just smell the green crispy veggie crunchiness and poppy sweetness of early fruits?  Make sure you stop by the market manager tent for some new recipes for some old favorites: Bok Choy, Chard, Radishes, Spinach and New Spring Lettuces!

Right alongside our favorite farmers are local cooks and chefs who are bringing some extraordinary taste sensations to the market this season!

Some of our new vendors: the Wandering Zorba Bakery is baking Greek sweets, Bonaparte Bakery is bringing French pastries, Claire Carrol will be selling Gluten Free goodies and Grace Brock will be cooking up breakfast sausage sandwiches on homemade biscuits. Let us not forget our new vendor selling – CHOCOLATES!

All your old favorites, Great Harvest, Vera's Bakery and Tommy the Cheese Man, to name a few, will be back as well.

Grab a breakfast treat and some coffee, or orange juice, sit down at the market’s picnic tables and enjoy the spring sunshine!

Great food is not all you can find at the market. Some of the area’s finest artists, jewelers, and artisans will be at our market. See them here.

To make Sunday Morning at the Market even more fun and exciting, this year we have planned special event days, like Bike Days, Book Days, and EMT Days. Click here for the May and early June schedule.

Look for our blackboard comparing prices between our farmers and the local grocery store.  You will be surprised - our produce is cheaper or the same price AND it was just picked.   Can't beat it for scrumptious taste!

Come and enjoy Sunday Fun at the Market!  Eat, Drink, pick up your groceries, do a little shopping, and get your bike fixed.  How much fun is that?

See you at the market!
