The school year comes to an end and the summer gets into full swing! It's great to see everyone coming down to the market every Sunday morning! If you were not previously aware, there is often someone from WEFM at the white tent at the west end (the most fitting place of course) of the parking lot ready to answer your questions or just chat, in Spanish and Japanese too! Every weekend there is a cooler of water for sale and a bottle of sunscreen for your use at our table so come on by! We have recieved some questions lately and thought to answer them here so they are more easily viewable by all. COFFEE, WHERE IS IT?
Unfortunately, Cameron Cafe is unable to operate both the cafe and a market stand on Sundays. Never fear- they are only a short walk away and are now using the Belly loyalty card program! Their rewards are fantastic so definitely make them a part of your visit to Brenman Park. On the plus side, we are happy to welcome Belmar's Coffee to the Market! Martin offers splendid coffee from Panama in whole bean, ground and prepared forms so they are great for a quick pick-me-up in the morning or as a lovely gift for the coffee lover in your life. We have to thank Guata Java and the Lemongrass Truck, both of whom filled in recently and provided some tasty and well needed relief! Speaking of, will the Lemongrass Truck return? We are still in talks but I'm sure if you show them some love on their Facebook page maybe we can more easily convince them. If you missed Memorial Day weekend, they make fantastic Vietnamese food adapted as food truck fare: vermicelli, salads, spicy pulled pork tacos and BUBBLE TEAS... They too have loyalty cards so I'm sure that everyone who made a purchase will be happy to see them return. Where is.... Susan, our Market Director, has been out with a broken wrist! She advises that you never try to break a fall with your palm, tuck and roll or you'll regret it. She'll come and visit every now and again so keep an eye out! Barry from Papa's Orchard is also out due to medical issues but, being the tough guy that he is, expects to return for Father's Day weekend with a fresh, scrumptious batch of berries. What a trooper... Gabriela and her beautiful pottery are on a short break, but she's planning to return in a couple of weeks. If you have not yet met her, you should! As wedding season kicks in she's your ticket to an absolutely unforgettable gift to be passed down for generations. We're here to answer all your questions so talk with us, drop a line on our Facebook page or leave a comment here!
